Froxt Cookie Policy

At Froxt, we understand the value of data and the importance of protecting it. We want to be transparent about the data we collect and how we process, store, and share it, both online and offline. This Froxt Cookie Policy provides information about how and when we use cookies and other technologies for these purposes, and how you can disable them if you choose.

This Cookie Policy should be read alongside the Froxt Terms of Use (“Terms”) and the Froxt Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”), which are both incorporated here by reference. Capitalized terms used in this policy but not defined have the same meaning as set forth in the Terms.

Cookies are small text files containing information that is sent to us from your computer or mobile device. They are unique to your account or browser.

  • Session-based cookies last only while your browser is open and are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies last until you or your browser delete them or until they expire.
  • Flash cookies are used to remember the Sites’ settings to personalize the look and feel of the Sites. These are small files on your computer that are placed on your device via the Adobe Flash plug-in that may be built into your device or downloaded by you to your device.

HOW DOES FROXT USE COOKIES?

Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognize a user’s device, delivering a personalized experience consistent with your choices and browser settings. This can help make your interactions with us faster and more secure.

Cookies also support relevant information and functionality to enable us to keep the website and information up to date, relevant, and error-free, and to provide information about how the website is used.

These are the different types of cookies that we and our service providers may use on our Sites:

Categories of Use Description
Authentication If you are logged into our Services, cookies help us direct you to the right information and personalize your experience.
Functionality

These cookies are required for the operation of our Sites. For example, we may use these to enable you to log into secure areas of our website, process orders, or tell us what your language preferences are.

These cookies enable you to move around the Sites and use their features.

Performance and Analytics

These cookies help us to analyze activities on our Sites, and on other sites where we post content, to improve and optimize the way our Sites work. For example, we may use these types of cookies to ensure that visitors can easily find the information they are looking for on our Sites by counting the number of visitors and how they move around our Sites when they are using them.

These cookies also help us measure the performance of our advertising campaigns to help us optimize our Sites’ content for those who engage with our advertising.

Personalization These cookies are used to recognize you when you return to our Sites. This enables us to personalize our content for you, greet you by name, and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).
Marketing and Advertising

Cookies and other technologies record your online activities, including your visits to our Sites, the pages you have visited, and the links and advertisements you have clicked. This is helpful to us because:

  • It allows us to make the content more relevant to you.
  • It allows us and our service providers to deliver advertisements or other communications to you that are designed to be more relevant to you.

We and our service providers and partners may also append other data to information collected by these cookies, including information obtained from third parties, and share this information with third parties for the purpose of delivering relevant advertisements to you.

If you register on one of our Sites or otherwise provide us with your personal data, we may associate that information with other information we collect from or about you or that you provide, information regarding your use of our Sites, or information we receive from or about you from third parties. We will use this combined data for marketing and analytics purposes.

Security We use cookies to enable and support Froxt’s security features that help us to detect security threats and malicious activity.
Feedback and Surveys We send cookies to your computer when you use the Sites, respond to online surveys or polls, or request information.

OTHER TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGIES

In addition to cookies, we may also use the following technologies to collect information.

Technology Use
Web beacons and browser web storage A web beacon is an electronic file that signals when a webpage, advertisement, video, other content, an email, or a newsletter has been viewed. Froxt uses web beacons in conjunction with cookies to collect data that helps us better understand how visitors move from page to page within websites. Browser web storage enables websites to store data in a browser on a device. When used in “local storage” mode, it enables data to be stored across sessions (for example, so that the data is retrievable even after the browser has been closed and reopened).
Embedded URLs We may use a tracking technique that employs embedded URLs to allow the use of the Sites without cookies. Embedded URLs allow limited information to follow you as you navigate the Sites but are not associated with Personal data and are not used beyond the session.
Embedded Pixels and Similar Technologies.

Froxt and our service providers may use embedded pixel technologies for the purposes of identifying unique user visits (as opposed to aggregate hits) and for advertising purposes. In addition, embedded pixels or other technologies may be used in emails and our online display advertising to provide information on when the email or ad was opened to track marketing campaign responsiveness; information collected using these technologies may be associated with the recipient’s email address.

The pixel technology used in the Sites enables the synchronization of internal unique identifiers between Froxt (AddThis) and our third-party partners to facilitate interest-based advertising.

Widgets, Buttons, and Tools

Our Sites may include widgets, which are interactive mini-programs that run on our Sites to provide specific services from another company (e.g., links to bookmarked sites), along with buttons or other tools that link to other companies’ services (e.g., a “Like” button or third-party map).

The widget, button, or tool may collect and automatically send Personal Data, such as your Unique ID, or other information (such as your browser information or IP address) to a third party. Cookies may also be set or used by the widgets, buttons, or tools to enable them to function properly or for other purposes, which may include advertising. Information collected or used by a widget, button, or tool, including cookie settings and preferences, is governed by the privacy policy of the company that created it.

USE OF THIRD-PARTY COOKIES

Some of the web beacons and cookies we use on the Sites are from third parties that help us advertise, serve content, communicate with you, and measure the impact of our Sites. Such third parties can be divided into the following categories:

Social media and sharing tools. Some third-party cookies enable visitors to the Sites to use social media features, like sharing and sending or recommending pages to others. Such third parties include YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Using these elements of the Sites allows these service providers to set cookies on your device and track your behaviors within their platforms. Social media and sharing tool providers may also detect your presence on the Sites if you are logged into their services.
